First Baptist Church of Sedalia Children's Ministries

Childcare will look a little different this Sunday (Aug 9), as we have a pastor candidate coming to preach who many would like to listen. Parents are to bring their children to the chapel behind the sanctuary to be checked-in for the 10:45 service. Toys will be set up and there will be volunteers there to watch your kiddos. This is to give opportunity for all to hear and see the pastor candidate, including our KIDMIN volunteers. Thank you for understanding, and we hope to see your smiling faces on Sunday!

Just a reminder that all of our Sunday morning children's programs are being provided again, with precaution protocol in place. We hope to see your tiny humans tomorrow morning!

KidZone....learning Bible verses in creative ways!

We had such a fun time making flower gardens this morning. It was so nice being back in the classroom with our kiddos

Here is an update for our Sunday children's programs starting July 19th: Sunday School for preschool and kindergarten will be provided at 9:30 in the nursery wing. Extended care during both the 8:15 and 10:45 services will be offered for birth-kindergarten in the nursery wing. ... KidZone will continue to be offered during the 10:45 service. Kids that are 1st-6th grade will begin in the sanctuary for the praise and worship segment of our service and then dismissed to their classroom. We understand there is still means for concern regarding COVID-19 and we are doing everything to ensure the safety of your children and our volunteers. Hand sanitation will be provided upon entering and exiting the classrooms, students will have their own supplies, toys will be disinfected after every service, and we will do our best to social distance. Attention parents of 1st-5th grade, KidZone will be returning (following extra precaution) this Sunday, June 21st during the 10:45 service. Mrs. Karla and Miss Jenna are so excited to see your smiling kiddos! See you there!

After careful consideration and prayer for our church family, friends, and neighbors, First Baptist Church of Sedalia has decided to CANCEL Vacation Bible School scheduled for July 31, August 1, and August 2. We are so saddened by this decision; however, the safety of our children, workers, and community is our priority. Concrete and Cranes VBS will still be celebrated later in the year with dates to be determined. As we are beginning to open our church, we are weighing our options considering our Children's Ministry activities. Parents, would you be comfortable bringing your children to Wednesday/Sunday events starting mid-June/July if restrictions and safety precautions are taken into consideration? Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mamas out there. We know it may be a difficult road sometimes, but never forget you are the world to your children. And I pray that even on the hard days, you never forget how loved you are.
