Milkshake IPA kit base for all-grain brewers! The recipe for the Milkshake IPA series served at Grains & Taps Brewery and Taproom is one of the most common requests we receive, so we decided to make a pre-made all-grain kit. The kit on the shelf contains the grain, lactose, yeast, and instructions for making an at-home version of a Grains & Taps Milkshake IPA. Also on the shelf is a guide with recommended hop combinations for pairing with your choice of fruit. Hops, fruit puree, and vanilla beans sold separately, so that you can customize these aspects of the beer to your liking.

This picture includes: 10 base malts 47 specialty grains 4 types of dry malt extract... lactose, maltodextrine, corn sugar, rice syrup solids If you've got a recipe to brew, bring it our way. We'll be happy to fill it for you.
Experiment time! We got excited about the news of the new Kveik strain from Omega Yeast so we teamed up with Grains & Taps Brewery and Taproom for an experiment. Omega has introduced Lutra Kveik as a clean fermenting yeast capable of producing pseudo-lagers when fermented at 68-72 degrees. The yeast is also suitable for fermenting at temperatures up to 95 degrees. We wanted to test it out, so we brewed wort for a lager. Then we split the batch into two fermenters. In the... first fermenter we pitched Lutra Kveik and fermented at 68 degrees. In the second fermentor we pitched Lutra Kveik and fermented at 90 degrees. Starting today, both are available in the brewery taproom. The beers are identical, except for the temperature each was fermented at. The contrast caused by this single difference is distinct when you try both beers side-by-side. If you’re interested in this sort of thing, we recommend making your way up to the brewery and giving both beers a try. We’ll post our tasting notes later, after you’ve had a chance to give it a try. The supply store is stocked up on plenty of this yeast for your next home brew.
