It’s a beautiful day outside Gower Community get out and do some yardwork but if you decide to do any burning please call it in 816-539-3777 Clinton County Sheriffs Department
Tonight firefighters had a great training class on ground ladders. One of the firefighters is working on getting her fire/EMS instructors certification so we had the opportunity to train and took advantage of the wonderful eve.
This week is all about the folks who tell us where to go and what to do, our dispatchers!!!! These are the folks that any call starts with and they are our lifeline on scenes. Getting us there, keeping us updated on information, and routinely checking on us until we return home THEY ARE THE UNSUNG HEROS BEHIND ANY EMERGENCY SERVICE. THANK YOU TO ALL OUR DISPATCHERS OUT THERE YOU ARE TRUELY APPRECIATED!!!!
The last 72 hours have been VERY busy for fire departments in Clinton County and our neighboring counties. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to PLEASE call Clinton Co Dispatch (816-539-3777) and report your burn. Conditions are not the best with winds drying to top layer of grass and fires will take off. ... A simple call is easier than filing an insurance claim on lost or damaged property!!!

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement to include Buchanan and Clinton Counties. The statement advises a VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER WARNING for tomorrow Sunday March 7th 2021. Due to dry conditions and high winds that expected tomorrow. Area fire departments have been very busy with natural cover/wild land fires the last few days. Please wait to do any burning until conditions are more favorable. As always we want everyone to be safe and property protected. As a reminder, if you start to burn and the fire becomes out of control, you are responsible for any damages that occur to adjoining properties. Again, please be safe.
Congrats to East Buchanan’s Varsity Cheer Squad on your Missouri Cheer Coaches Association Class 1A Large State Championship. Way to go Lady Dogs!!!

Thank you to our veterans and active military members for their service to the United States. We appreciate your service!
Today is a big for our country it's election day. As our community comes and votes please be mindful you are voting at the fire station. We as a fire district still have an obligation to our citizens and surrounding communities if we are unable to get into the driveway it slows that response time down. Our fire personnel had a hard time getting in and out of the station this morning to respond to an emergence . Thank you for your help and cooperation.
In observance of National First Responders Appreciation Day, we would like to thank all the paid and unpaid professional first responders with whom we are privi...leged to work, for their commitment and dedication to our county, and to their professions. We are fortunate to work with some of the best around. The image of a headset is missing from the graphic below, but we don't want to overlook our 9-1-1 dispatchers, who are the first, first responders. Much appreciation to all first responders, everywhere. Be safe. Stay well. Take care of yourselves, and take care of each other. See more
