The need for blood remains constant and we are asking our partners to still hold blood drives. The Red Cross is taking a number of precautions at this time to ensure that blood drives are safe for all of our volunteers, staff and donors. We are hosting drives across the country and these changes made are so that blood drives are compliant with these Health Emergency declarations. No registration required but you are encouraged to make appointment online or over the phone. If appointments are full the day of the Blood Drive, American Red Cross may have to turn away walk-ins. Winter Break Activities all start registration today! Check them out below! Mad Science: Students learn about the uses of robots in our world, how they sense and move, and spend time programming robots and participating in robot relays. They discover the science of circuits and how robots use sensors to explore things around them. They build their very own working robot to take home with them. Program Dates are Kitchen Kids: If you have an aspiring chef or just want ...your child to be more comfortable in the kitchen, this is the class! While preparing homemade waffles, maple syrup and a quinche lorraine with hash brown crust. your child will measure, mix and cook ingredients while learning nutritional information about each item. At the conclusion everyone will have a chance to sample what they have prepared! Youth Tech Inc.: This course combines two unbelievable experiences for students, gaming and coding. Students will get an interactive look at coding, and building virtual apps to share with friends. Students will also build simple video games combing the art of video game design and animation to create interactive characters that fly around the screen. Young Rembrandts: Laugh-out-loud-funny! Mind-bendingly-adorable! Awesome-beyond-belief! These are just some of the words that best describe our Cartoon Animals Camp. If your child is a fan of cuddly animals and funny cartoons, this drawing workshop is especially tailored for their needs. Over the course of four days, kids will learn how to draw animals of all shapes, sizes, and colors. They will learn how to personify ordinary animals, transforming them into fully-realized cartoon characters. All materials provided.
