The Celebration of Life for Stephanie Clark, scheduled Sunday, February 21, has been postponed due to weather. The Clark family plans to hold the event in spring so more friends and family can attend. We appreciate you sharing the news.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that Stephanie passed away this morning. I cannot adequately express my sorrow at losing her. She was supposed to get well, to come back to the office and spontaneously burst into song at the drop of a hat. I sat in her room this afternoon, taking all of it - all of her - in. She created a space that was warm and welcoming, quirky and full of secret jokes. I am so glad that we were friends. Kendell

For everyone who has been asking about Stephanie, this post is from her sister: Stephanie Clark's CAT scan results came back as negative so she has not had a stroke. The EKG shows no signs of seizure activity. She's still in there, however it's completely heartbreaking that she's stuck in a body that isn't wanting to heal. They have sister on a light sedation this evening so she has been moving around more but has remained unconscious. I noticed when I got to see her today t...hat she kicked her leg out and pushed the blankets down. I asked the nurse to keep her feet uncovered (she absolutely hates to be hot) and it causes her distress. I'm glad that they made a note and they've kept her feet uncovered. I appreciate the extra efforts to keep her more comfortable. Stephanie remains a very critical condition this evening and the last couple of days have been quite hard. She still in this... Mess or progress? I’m calling it progress! I’m getting closer to having the new office open .

Hey guys, I miss you like crazy. I wanted to give you my timeline for re-opening. As many of you know, I work as scrub tech as a ‘day job’. My facility closed temporarily because we did elective orthopedic surgeries. Because of this, I have now been transferred to our main hospital to work on the floor. So far it isn’t a covid positive unit, but time will tell. I cannot in good conscience see clients while I’m working on the floor at the hospital. It would destroy me if I p...assed the virus along to any of you. I am under contract with the hospital until June. My plan at this time is to finish my contract, self quarantine for two weeks (or the current CDC recommendations), and begin seeing clients full time in my new office in July. It seems like forever from now, but if you’d like to schedule a massage July, just let me know. I can’t wait to see you again. Stay safe. Be well. Kendell

Today I received an update from the American Massage Therapy Association which included this excerpt: AMTA does not have the authority to stop you from practicing massage, but firmly believes massage therapists should be part of the solution and do no harm. At this time, we believe the best way that therapists can contribute to the solution is by only practicing massage that is medically necessary and by supporting the recent federal guidelines as outlined in the 15 Days to ...Slow the Spread initiative thru at least March 31. I am following the advice of the CDC and AMTA and will be practicing social distancing for the next two weeks. Stay safe and be well.
