Great crew of folks headed out on the Grindy Route!
Here is a new, family friendly activity to look forward to this spring! "Springfield-Greene County Library District is launching StoryQuest, a community scavenger hunt with a literary twist. Beginning March 1 through April 30, families can find StoryQuest guides in the Spring Bookends, at any library branch or Mobile Library, and on the Library's web page. The guide will challenge them to visit at least six of the 12 StoryQuest sites and engage in an activity at the locatio...n. To make the adventure even more fun, the Library has paired each location with read-aloud recommendations for families to enjoy together. After visiting six StoryQuest sites, families can return the guide to a library to earn a book bag. The mural at the Frisco Highline Trailhead in Willard is one of the 12 sites listed on the StoryQuest guide. We certainly hope StoryQuest introduces some families to some great locations they may not have visited before."
It is a winter wonderland out there today! #friscohighlinetrail #bridgesofpolkcounty

Happy Holidays
Springfield Brewing Company’s On Your Left Keller Pils help fund a project today at MM31. With help from The Brush Dominator and collaboration with our longtime neighbor, we solved some drainage issues and filled a muddy gap with gravel. Trail is all clear for trail users which also allows our neighbors safe passage from one side to the next with cattle and equipment. We are fortunate to work with and live amongst trail supporters who are also such good stewards.
Just a friendly reminder that it is still Deer hunting season in Missouri. Although hunting is not allowed within the FHT corridor, we encourage wearing orange or other bright colors as you venture out on the trail.

Coming up this Friday evening at our Willard Trailhead
Our Willard Trailhead has a new feature for all to enjoy! Eagle Scout Troop 235 installed this Little Lending Library last month and added some finishing touches this week. Stop by anytime and do a book swap. Special thanks to Ozarks Literacy Council, Eagle Scout Brett, and the crew for this new addition to the community!
There is always light at the end of a tunnel. And sometimes a prairie. Enjoy your day! #friscohighlinetrail #lapetitegemmeprairie #trailtunnels #neutralterritory

Go for a stroll or a spin on the FHT, and then head on over to Springfield Brewing Company for a beverage and snack! If beer is what you’re looking for, we recommend the On Your Left Pils.
Members from the outlying communities met this morning at the Willard Trailhead for a little sprucing, spicing, and feature enhancement. It is a beautiful day and the weekend is off to a great start. Special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped!
