The next step in the preparation for school is the distribution of iPads or Chromebooks, school supplies, books and educational materials students will need at home to be successful. FLA will be distributing these on Thursday, August 27 from 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM. It is very important that you try to make it to school on this day. Our lines will be long, as we have nearly 700 students. FLA Staff and Teachers appreciate your patience and assistance in this process. Here are ...the directions: - All families will need to enter the lower parking lot from Main and 34th Terr. (Please follow all directional signage!) - There will be stations that every car/family will progress through in the lower parking lot. Please look for Station signs. Station 1: Sign a Technology Acceptable Use Policy for Students form Station 2: Get a grade appropriate device (iPads for KDG-4th grades/Chromebooks for 5th-8th grades) and all FLA supplies Station 3: If needed, get a hotspot (internet access device) Station 4: Questions/Issues Students with an assigned and locked Chromebook from last year that has not yet been turned in will need to bring the device to FLA before a new device can be issued. If you cannot make it on Thursday, August 27 from 11:30 AM-7:00 PM, you may pick up a device beginning August 31 at District Office (2901 Troost) from 10:00-2:00 daily. Additionally, you will need to come by FLA to pick up your school supplies and necessary books. FLA will be open the week of August 31 from 8:00-4:00. Please pull up to the blue gym door in the lower parking lot and a staff member will assist you.
