Welcome to worship! We are so glad that you are here with us this morning! Today we're continuing our series called "LIO" where we're looking at what the resurrection means and how we can "Live It Out" in our lives past Easter Sunday. This morning is also a communion Sunday, so if you would like to take part from home, please have some bread and juice (or something similar) to join with us. The service will look a little different than usual since we do things a little differently on communion Sundays. Thank you for being here with us today! You are a blessing! Here at Fredericktown UMC, YOU are welcome! Be you. Be loved. Belong.

Things they don't teach you in seminary: projector repair and maintenance! Thank you to Don Laut who came in this afternoon and gave our projector a new bulb, a cleaned filter, a cleaned outside, and a freshly painted pole! Everyone be sure to thank him on Sunday when you are able to look up and see the screen! Thank you Don! What a blessing!

We're so excited you are here with us in worship this morning! Thank you for being our guest! Today we're continuing our series called "LIO" where we are learning about the resurrection and "living it out" in our lives after the celebrations on Easter Sunday have ended. The answer might not always be what we think and is never as simple as just "believe it." Let us know you are here this morning by saying hello in chat and sharing this video! Welcome to worship!

As a reminder Fredericktown UMC family, we will not be having in-person Ash Wednesday worship this evening. The roads are bad and the parking lot is worse. We are still hopeful for Sunday, but it is a wait-and-see at this point. I would like you to join me here on Facebook at 6:00 PM this evening for a brief Ash Wednesday meditation. We won't be able to share in the ashes, but we will be able to take a moment out of the busy-ness of life and prepare ourselves as we enter Lent together. I hope that you will join me. Blessings on you and yours as we enter this season.

Fredericktown UMC family, it is with a mournful heart that I share this. Let us hold this family in our hearts and prayers while celebrating the life that Lora lead, the lives her ministry touched, and the fact that she now rests with her Savior in heaven, free from the cancer that attacked her body. Well done, good and faithful servant. We will miss your light in this world.

Just because the office is closed today doesn't mean we don't have good news to share! We want to celebrate with Heather and Billy Osborne that Rosie has been cleared from NICU and come to live at home! I am told that she is keeping everyone on their toes, as a good little one should. Let us all congratulate the Osborne family on this wonderful gift from God! Wonderful news!

I think it is safe to say that we will not be opening the office today due to extreme weather. But just for funsies, let's all pretend it's for President's Day instead, ok? Lets us all pretend we don't currently live at the North Pole. Stay home if you can and stay safe! If you need anything, call Pastor Bryan on his cell phone!

We pre-recorded this service on Saturday since we couldn't have in-person worship due to the condition of our icy parking lot, frigid temps, and the threat of more bad weather on the way. Pastor Bryan is here worshiping with you this morning, so if you have any prayer requests today, please be sure to share them so that he can be in prayer for them throughout the week. We are so glad that you are our guest in worship this morning as we conclude our worship series "When God Seems Silent" where we've been looking at the book Habakkuk in the Old Testament. We are thankful you are here. At Fredericktown UMC, YOU are welcome. Be you. Be loved. Belong.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's United Organizations of Madison County Christmas Blessings program an amazing success! With 160 families and over 200 kids, you helped deliver food and gifts to those in need throughout our county. We are honored to be a part of this Christmas miracle that you all have helped birth into reality. To every church, organization, business, and individual that took part in any way: THANK YOU! You have blessed us and blessed so many people. Merry Christmas!

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the l...ives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. We seek to embody generosity through our faith. It is what calls us to have our blessings box for people to get food and toiletries they need, our coat boutique for people to get things to keep them warm through the winter, to organize the United Organizations of Madison County food and gift program for Christmas, and many other ways we continually try to reach out and serve our community with love and grace. If you feel called to help Fredericktown United Methodist Church continue our mission, ministry, service, and outreach, we would be honored if you would consider making a gift for Giving Tuesday. It will truly make a difference in what we are able to continue to do for our community and the world. You can donate online at https://www.fredericktownumc.org/donate Thank you so much for your time and may God's blessings be with you this holiday season. Rev.
