Focus On Missions and Vision 3:16 sharing the love of Jesus Christ with so many wonderful people at the Marquette Center in St. Louis. Great day! Linda Raye Steve Smith

It was a great day of serving others. Last Saturday Vision 3:16 and Focus On Missions held an eyeglass clinic in South St Louis, part of the inner city. People... from many walks of life and backgrounds came. Some with health concerns, some dealing with difficult life situations, some struggling to survive, some recently released from prison and others just trying to get by. But the love of Christ was shown to everyone who came. A great team of workers who demonstrated what Christ taught about serving those in need. A mother and daughter from Iraq who are Muslim came for glasses and received a warm welcome from the team. The daughter is facing some serious surgery and is concerned about the outcome. At the end of their visit she asked the Christian worker to pray for her. It was a blessed day of serving.

Come Join Us in Montana in August Focus On Missions along with Vision 3:16 Ministries is hosting a two week Montana Mission Trip. Our work will be in three ma...jor areas .... Billings, Havre/Box Elder & St Regis. Excited to be ministering on three reservations. We will be conducting Free Eyeglass Outreach Clinics, helping with construction/handyman opportunities in local churches, grilling lots and lots of hotdogs, collecting and sharing coats, hats and gloves, hosting a movie night and distributing the Gospel of John. We are wanting to recruit those with RV's / Campers to travel and serve with us. Campground arrangements have been made. We have limited spots available. Today was an AWESOME day at the Marquette Rec Center with Zion City Church and the team from Concord Baptist from Jefferson City. We had our friends from First... Baptist Arnold with us and they got to experience God moving big time! One of the memories of today was a mother and her adult daughter from Iraq. The daughter did the interpreting for mom. I had the joy of reading her eyes and Linda Raye had the awesome experience of fitting her with glasses and praying with them. Then the daughter asked Linda if she would pray for her ... an awesome experience when a Muslim ask for prayer in the name of Jesus Christ! We had another couple from some Asian country ... they spoke very little if any English .... it was amazing how we connected with this couple. They experienced the love of Jesus and never was a word communicated ... you could just tell that a connection was being made ... all in the name and love of Jesus Christ. The community center was filled with many nationalities and races ... it was so unlike what you see and hear on the media ... love and acceptance filled the room. Jesus was shared, people were prayed with, Jesus was glorified ... we were blessed and Jesus was glorified all day ! We now have the opportunity in doing the exact same thing in SEVEN different community centers working with local churches sharing the love of Jesus! It was a good day!
