My living room needs a fresh coat of paint. I went to the store the other day and collected dozens of paint chips, and I've laid them around the room to see what they look like at different times of the day. I don't know yet which color I will select, but I am sure of one thing: if I decide that I don't like the new paint, I can try another color. Our lives are like that too. An idea we start to follow may not lead us to a place where we really want to go. Fortunately, we ha...ve the freedom and the wisdom to change our minds. This realization is comforting, because one of my fears is, What if I choose the wrong thing? Life does not stop because we change our minds. Life is a process. We get to make continual adjustments to stay on whatever course we decide upon. It is when we are on a new road that we become conscious of having to go a little more to the left, now a little more to the right. Unfamiliarity heightens our awareness. I hope that you allow yourselves to be in unfamiliar territory from time to time, whether physically or mentally. We learn new things about ourselves when we try something different. Bernadette P. Humans have always sensed, have deeply understood, that there is an invisible foundation to the universe, a cohesiveness to all that we see and all that we are. We read it in sacred writings through the ages. We see it celebrated in rituals, burials, dance, song and art throughout time and cultures. As All That Is, the energy that we call God cannot have any boundaries. An eternal life force cannot be an entity or supreme being with opinions or judgments. God simply is, the S...ource of all energy. Like the air that surrounds us, this Source, this Spirit, is available for our sustenance. We may take deep gulps of air or hold our breath until we turn blue. Air, both within us and all around us, is not watching or judging our behavior. It does not insert itself into our experience. On the day we stop breathing, air does not notice. Ellen Debenport

Do not supplicate nor beg God to give you what you need, but get still and think about the inexhaustible resource of the Infinite Mind, and that it is present in all of its fullness, and always ready to manifest when its laws are complied with. This is what Jesus meant when he said, "Seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." We all need a better understanding of the nature of God, that we may comply with the laws under wh...ich he creates. Spirit is not located in a big man called God, but is everywhere the breath of life and the knowing qualify of mind active in and through all bodies, "over all, and through all, and in all." The highest form of prayer is to open your mind and quietly realize that the one omnipresent Intelligence knows your thoughts and instantly answers, even before you have audibly expressed your desire. We observe that all things come out of the formless, but our knowledge of the invisible is so limited that we do not conceive of its infinite possibilities. When we think or silently speak in the all-potential ethers of Spirit, there is always an unfailing effect. "Whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers shall be proclaimed upon the housetops."
