Wishing everyone a happy Easter! (Vintage postcard from the Museum's collections.)

We've spotted the first sign of the Museum's garden waking up from its winter nap. The grape hyacinths must also be excited about the Museum reopening tomorrow, April 1, on its normal five-day schedule (Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.) Hope you'll stop soon to see all the new displays. We guarantee you'll learn something new about our local history in the Hedges-McCleary display, as well as those on the Travis Million-Calloway Finley Founding Family; the Brunke centennial, and in our refreshed Military Room. On the Francis Hotel side of our Museum, all the display areas were refreshed last year before the virus hit and we had to be closed, so there's still much new to see! We appreciate your support, which makes these displays possible.

So much history to learn about what was happening prior to Missouri becoming a state in 1821 -- yes, this year we'll celebrate our state and our county's 200th birthday!

As we sing auld lang syne and bid farewell to a very difficult year, we have high hopes for 2021. Ring in the New Year by joining or renewing your Museum membership online at www.esmuseum.com! We appreciate your support! Vintage postcard from the Museum's collection -- enlarge to see the full New Year's message. We hope it will soon be safe to gather together soon!

Be sure to get those letters to Santa in the North Pole Mailbox just outside our Museum at the corner of Broadway and South Main!

Happy Thanksgiving! Our Museum is now closed for the holiday, followed by our Winter Break in December and January. We'll return on a three-day schedule in February! Hope you'll visit us then -- we have lots of new things planned! In the meantime, visit us via video on our Facebook page!
