A storm system will bring snow to the area tonight through Friday evening with forecast total snow amounts ranging from 2 inches in northeast and central MO to 1 inch or less in southeast MO and southwest IL.

Even though the widespread dense fog in some areas has become more isolated for this afternoon, the thick fog will make a return to many areas tonight. Visibilities tonight could be as low as one-quarter mile or less, which could make for hazardous travel. #STLwx #MOwx #ILwx

A bit of freezing drizzle and light snow may be enough to create a few slick spots. However, not much is expected in regard to accumulation. Looking ahead, we will see a bit of a break from winter weather with a warming trend Sunday through Tuesday. #mowx #ilwx #stlwx
