What a great idea!
Keeping baby warm in the winter is essential. Use layers, instead of puffy material, to ensure your car seat harness has a snug fit. #TheRightSeat
Sibling Rivalry - Words of Gold
Pandemic parenting is rough. If you’re not sure how to fill your days, focus on this. These are a child's work. These are how children grow and develop, resulti...ng in well-adjusted, social, and academically successful kids. I saw this on @screenfreeparenting website and I love their perspective. Forget screen time restrictions. Focus on the things children need daily, and screen time will automatically be reduced! Honestly, it's no fun being the screen time patrol. But if you fill your days with each of these activities, then you have successfully given your child what they need to thrive, and it will balance out what screen time they do get. It's like focusing on the positive. And this is NOT about doing XYZ for so many minutes and then you earn screen time. That places way too much value on screens at the top of the hierarchy and kids will rush to get through the things that are so important for them. This is meant to be activities your child should do daily, with screen time interspersed where you see fit. Sometimes you have time for it, and other times you don’t! It’s not an expectation. So if you are doing these activities daily with your child (aka SPOILing your child), high fives to you! And if screen time is interfering with any of these critical activities, then maybe it's time to take a closer look at screen time habits. . . . #quietbookqueen #parentinginapandemic #lessscreentime #screenfreekids #screentime #screentimealternatives #homeschoollife
Come learn some ASL to teach your Children!!
Allowing children to struggle to succeed allows them to make deposits into their I'm Capable account. It allows them to conclude: I can think for myself. I can solve my own problems. I have healthy control over my life. I can achieve if I'm willing to put forth effort.
Offering children choices can help them develop confidence, apply decision making skills, and even promote financial literacy! Check out this article to learn more about offering choices to little ones: https://bit.ly/3e7nDTa
