NATIONAL WORK ZONE AWARENESS WEEK: As we move into the summer construction season remember to slow down and pay attention as you travel through construction zones, so everyone can arrive home safely. APRIL 3-7 IS NATIONAL WORK ZONE AWARENESS WEEK: Every spring, MoDOT and municipalities across Missouri prepare for a busy summer season of construction and maintenance work. Motorists are reminded to slow down, put their phone down, and pay attention as they drive past work zones. Work zones don’t always look alike. They often include orange barrels and warning signs. They can also be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. Please pay attention, wait to merge, and take turns with the other drivers on the road. We all want those that work on our roads to make it home safe every day.
