ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ET: The last few years at El Torreon KC have been a thrilling experience as a company and staff, and we have had the honor of hosting many incredible events along the way. In the last 2.5 years, we have seen a massive remodel of the El Torreon building (home of the Cowtown Ballroom), and have established many community connections. It’s with both sadness and excitement for the next season that we would like to announce that the business founder, Kris Edl...er, will be transitioning out of his current role in order for the business to allow the shareholders to better fulfill their goals for the business. We will continue to fulfill all contracts that we have currently signed and will be releasing new and updated packages for incoming contracts and future events. As an integral part of the Tower East KC district, El Torreon KC hopes to continue to be an active part in the neighborhood and community. The new events manager, Dawniel Richards, has assumed responsibility for day-to-day operations, effective May 10th. She has a stunning background in the events world, an extensive administrative background, and a passion for events and non-profit events. Even this last weekend at Wanderfest, Dawniel has already began connecting with the community and new clients. We are honored to welcome her as a new steward at the El Torreon building and seeing what she brings to the table over the upcoming years. WELCOME DAWNIEL! Kris Edler will be transitioning to a more full time position with a property he is developing in south Kansas City, which will support orphans and families in the adoption process. He expresses his love, appreciation, and value to both the neighborhood, previous clients, and current connections and hopes to continue those relationships. In addition, he would like to invite you to learn more about the upcoming property development. This 45-acre property, to be called Hope Rising KC is in partnership with Renee Loux and the Orphan Justice Center, and will begin releasing plans later this spring. If you’d like to follow the next steps with Kris, you can email the following address [email protected] and he would love to keep you in the loop with future developments. We look forward to serving the community for many more years with the same excellence that the El Torreon builder did in 1927. With this business, Kris hoped to create a business, along the same veins as builder Thomas O’Bright, where all men could gather at a round table and dreams would become a reality. It is the hope of El Torreon KC to continue that legacy.

Recommendation for catering! We had the honor of having these guys in our venue tonight. The staff was professional and friendly, and they interacted with their hosts and guests very well. They organized the flow of the evening with ease, and interacted with our space with great respect. The presentation of the food was clean and pleasing to the eye, and their serving staff was delightful. The feedback from the guests regarding their food and service was perfect. I haven't h...eard that much positive feedback in quite a while regarding a caterer, so when they offered me a plate, I gladly accepted. Being a foodie and someone who works events... I was blown away. Their food was well done and had perfect flavor. The meal options were extensive and I could not have imagined a better staff serving our guests tonight.
