Lions Club of Eldon

Tis the season of giving! Lions Club was proud to donate $250 to Serve Eldon to be used towards clothing needs for the Mustang Closet at South School. Pictured below is Sydney Tompkins accepting the check from Lion Ed Bierbower & Lion Robb Young.

Eldon Lions Club donated over $7500 of tornado funds to the City of Eldon to update storm sirens. Lions President Ed Bierbower presented the check to Mayor Trevor Vernon, Emergency Management Director Randy Vernon, and Eldon City Administrator Don Smith.

It was great to hear an update from South Elementary Counselor Laura Dierking about therapy dog Buddy. Buddy has completed his training and is even completed training for elderly care facilities. Buddy welcomes students each day and assists Mrs. Dierking to help students during counseling sessions. The Eldon Lions Club donated funds toward Buddy's training.

Thanks again for the outstanding community support for our Turkey Dinner. Special thanks to Eldon R-1 Food Service for their facility and assist with food prep and serving. Thanks to all the volunteers - we could not have done it without you! These funds will be used for a variety of community needs.
