Spring cleaning at the FLWHEP includes trimming the fitzers. The bush’s feathery, green needles are a beautiful complement to the red brick on the exterior (and interior!) of the house.
As Easter Sunday approaches this weekend, we invite you to explore how Olgivanna and Frank Lloyd Wright festively celebrated the holiday in the 1950s out in the desert at Taliesin West. Read more at: FrankLloydWright.org/easter
Thank you to Taliesin Fellows for sharing this video featuring John Rattenbury, a Taliesin apprentice and lifelong contibutor to the Frank Lloyd Wright community, who passed away recently. It's an hour long but worth every minute.
We GIVE THANKS for YOU and all those who support the arts and cultural organizations that keep our communities vibrant. #GIVINGTUESDAY Want to pass along the appreciation? How about giving a FLWHEP Gift Membership to someone today? They'll be joining a group passionate about architecture and you'll be supporting the preservation of an architectural treasure. www.ebsworthpark.org/support/membership
Thank you St. Louis County Parks & Recreation for spreading the word about our new ornament!
We are happy to be co-hosting next week’s Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy Virtual Conference, Saving Wright Now. This year’s event offers an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the global community of Wright specialists and aficionados. Preservationists, homeowners and public site leaders will participate in lively panel discussions and open their doors to attendees through video and photographic tours, providing a broad look at the current state of the movement to save Wright.
A very Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Tune in this Thursday 10/29 for #WrightVirtualVisits to see Frank Lloyd Wright's Allen House and Beth Sholom Synagogue explore the theme of Wright’s Developing Style 1915-1959. Video will stream live on both Facebook pages. https://www.facebook.com/events/2740071682918166/
Thank you Michael Swoboda for the image that capture the warmth and beauty of the FLWHEP.
The STLCC team led by Michael Swoboda, MFA, Professor of Graphic Design & Digital Media and Graphic Communications from St. Louis Community College at Meramec, including Justin Tolliver, Adjunct Professor, Tim Linderjust, Professor both at STLCC and Julie Linder, photographer, were at the house yesterday capturing images for their media project. The result of this partnership is a unique learning experience for students but results in a dynamic virtual experience that hundreds of virtual visitors can enjoy.
