In an already difficult year, 2020 had one more unfortunate surprise for The Nature Sanctuary. Over the holiday, a pipe burst in the Nature Center basement floo...ding it with 2-3 inches of water. Thanks to the help of the Liberty Fire Department the majority of the water was drained. There is damage to the walls, flooring, sprinkler system, and supplies and products that were in storage. The rooms are drying, but there is lots of work ahead. MLTNS is a private nonprofit organization that survives solely on donations, grants and programming. The organization receives no funds from taxes or any government or municipal sources.
