There is hope On Tuesday we laid to rest a hero in Kennett, Mo, Major Rick Groves As we exited the school gymnasium with Major Groves casket and the detail ...was called to attention, something unusual yet amazing caught my eye. I wish I could have taken a picture. Last years state semi finalist and current undefeated football team from Kennett High School was in the middle of practice for a big game this week. But that didn’t stop them from taking a knee in the middle of practice to pay respect to Major Groves. Every single one of those young men dropped to one knee until the detail was dismissed. It didn’t matter the color of their skin or their political beliefs, they had the decency to display honor, dignity and respect for a hero. Well done parents and coaches of Kennett High School Football. Make THIS go viral
