Blackberry pruning. Getting it done, heat and all!
Well, the one year old blackberry bushes did their best for their first year giving some people the chance to pick. Unfortunately there just isn’t enough left to open for pickers. Many thanks to all the people who came out to pick this season. See you all next June!
Thanks everyone, we are full for tomorrow. I’ll keep posting.
I am going to open up with 3 groups tomorrow at 8:30. Please message me if you would like one of the 3 slots. I’ll post again when we have all 3 filled. Sorry but things should ripen up nicely next week.
Looks like we are going to have to wait until the week of July 13 to re-evaluate the blackberries. I’ll keep posting.
I pay her $5.00 a day to help me with morning chores.
Happy July 4th everyone from Duncan.
Everyone is getting pretty anxious about our new blackberry plants. Mother Nature is taking her time and it is looking like mid to late next week. One thing for sure, we will only have pickers at either 7am or 9am because of the number of people that showed up for blueberries. The goal is to make sure people that come out will have berries to pick. Thanks everyone and I’ll update more on Sunday. ... HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY
Bigger than my thumb. Next week for sure. I’ll keep posting.
Alan Wiedel found this. I believe we have all phases going on right now.
Our first crop for our new blackberry plants. Looking to start picking around the 4th of July!
The early bird caught the worm and all the blueberries this morning. Sorry 11am pickers we are picked clean. Blackberries in about two weeks. I’ll keep everyone posted.
