Happy graduation day!!!

We are heartbroken to share the tragic news that Jana Bufkin, Associate Professor of Criminology, passed away yesterday due to a rare autoimmune disorder that progressed very rapidly. Jana joined the Drury faculty in 1999 after completing her doctoral degree in criminology at Florida State University. In 2016, she relocated to Mississippi to care for her mother and continued to teach for us online in a full-time capacity. She was a devoted scholar who loved working with our students and an invaluable member of the Department of Behavioral Sciences. She will be missed by students, faculty and staff.
