DeSoto Christian Church

Hey all, got this email from IDES and wanted to share it with you. I felt so rewarded the day we did the GAP pack. Now we know where our food went. My prayer is that God blesses its journey and that people are blessed as it is distributed. Thanks to all who participated! "Greetings all I wanted to drop everyone a note and let you know the food you packed for Afghanistan, is on its way there! It takes a very curious route - From IDES to Grissom AFB in Peru, Indiana. Then ...to Haiti, then to Germany, Then it will make its final trek to Afghanistan. 259,200 Meals are on their way to Afghanistan, today these meals continue their journey of providing Help and Hope made possible by the many loving volunteers of IDES! So what did it take? 774 Volunteers from 8 different states packing 24,840lbs of rice, 10,530lbs of soy, 1,351lbs and 43,200 packets of vitamins and nutrients! On November 6th Wakil A. Sahibudin, was able to visit the IDES facility and lay hands on the food you all packed. The cool thing is he is now in Kabul, and will be there when the food arrives! Thanks again for everything you have done! I will send out updates when I can."

Thank you to all of you awesome prayer warriors. He has come so far and still has a way to go. The family is happy for all of the prayers being lifted on Jordan's behalf. Please keep them coming. I know the day is coming for him to go home for real. THANK YOU!!

DeSoto Christian Church was contacted by a local single woman requesting help to move her from DeSoto to Branson. She is now packed and ready to go. She has a place in Branson to store her stuff and stay, but doesn't have a vehicle and can't drive due to health issues. She has a small amount of stuff which will fit in a van or truck. She is is willing to rent a Uhaul van as well. If you or someone you know would be willing to make the drive to help her move, please contact Michael Golightly via messenger or cell 636-208-7919.
