Tomorrow is the first day of Lent-a time of reflection and preparation before Easter. It is 40 days to replicate Jesus' time of withdrawing and fasting in the desert. You are not obligated to give up anything-but it is recommended to make a sacrifice of something during this time. If it is meals or something you enjoy doing, that is your choice but this is a time of drawing closer to God so whatever you do give up take the time that you would be involved in that and spend it ...in prayer, bible study, meditation or silence. Whatever you need to find a deeper relationship with God and to prepare for the amazing celebration of Easter. This is a 40 day event, but Sundays are free days so you are not obligated on that day. May God be with His church and His people as we begin to look forward to the celebration of what brought us into right relationship with Him. See more

The CHURCH IS ALIVE AND WELL!!!! She has been through some storms and some tough days. She has been ridiculed and scorned. She has been through famine and f...ire. But I have great news for you this day, THE CHURCH IS ALIVE AND WELL!!! So if you are weary heartened and feeling down trodden. If you think things are out of control and confusion everywhere. In the midst of of the storm the Church is at it's best. So fellow believer, lift your head, turn your eyes up, join others believers in worship and remember THE CHURCH IS ALIVE AND WELL!!! "Today, Father we come and in the name and authority of Jesus Christ we bind any thought that Satan has placed in our mind, we rebuke the devourer this morning. We claim Psalm 42: that the one who seeks to destroy is still defeated in the name of JESUS! We release the work of the Spirit , to bring hope, peace, joy, unity, healing and blessings beyond our wildest dreams! Now, Father gently place your hands under our chins, lift our heads and help us to look up and in doing so, we we choose to look in Your eyes. We remind ourselves we are Victors and not victims and we will not act or believe any other way. Thank you that the CHURCH TRIUMPHANT, IS ALIVE AND WELL!!! In the name of the Triumphant One we pray, amen and amen! See more
