The Dance Studio of Macon

Dear Students and Parents, Earlier today we gave our instructors the option of having classes this week or not, and they wanted to have classes. We also know that Macon Public Schools and most, if not all schools the Macon studio serves are still having classes. We also do not have groups of 50 or more meeting at the studio. All of that being said, because students in dance class cannot abide by the CDC's 6 foot distancing recommendation and because we have a large number ...of grandparents bringing students to class who we would not want to imperil, we have made a late decision this afternoon to postpone classes for at least this week. The health and safety of our students, families, and instructors are our primary concern; we will communicate with you on an ongoing basis to keep you informed of classes (always check our Macon Dance Studio web site and Facebook page for scheduling and other important information). Dear Students and Parents, When there is inclement weather we always try to e-mail our dance families and post on our Dance Studio of Macon Face Book page by 1:00 p.m. that day whether we are or are not having dance classes. Since weather can change throughout the day, just because school is cancelled we could still possibly have classes under improving conditions; and, conversely, because school is not cancelled does not mean the weather might not deteriorate to the p...oint we do not have classes. With that in mind for for today, Monday, December 16, the Macon studio will not be having classes today due to the weather and road conditions as reported to us. THE DANCE STUDIO OF MACON

Many, many thanks to our great Macon PEOPLE IN MOTION DANCERS who performed at the Truman State University Homecoming Parade. You were wonderful in our first performance of Macon PIM Dancers, and our group was a highlight of the entire parade!

This is a very important reminder that Monday classes begin Monday, September 16 (a week from this Monday), and Tuesday and Thursday classes begin this week - Tuesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 12. These beginning dates will balance the entire year to provide 32 class meetings for each class each day. There are 3, 4 or even 5 classes each month (the Monday start date will still provide 3 class meetings in September, and classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays also will... meet 3 times in September).
