Here is one of our comments about the Ambulance Fire it is posted below but want to share so everyone can see it: Fred Savage Ava Ambulance district statement Yesterday was a hard day for Ava EMS. The call volume was extremely high and the loss of one of our new rigs was heartbreaking! However.,1 hour later the guys were in another rig responding to calls for the remainder of the 24 hr rotation!... We will replace the Ambulance and the equipment, and we will never lose sight of our Mission! To serve and to be the best for those who need us in Ava and SWMO! See more

This was one of five ambulances for the Ava Ambulance District. The fire causes an estimated $350,000 loss.

Ava Area Ambulance District Board purchased an AED for Eastern Douglas County Fire Department this will replace one they have had for 15 years. The AED was presented to Fire Department today.
