Looking for a meatless option? Our Chestnut St has an olive oil base topped with baby spinach, roasted garlic, oregano, fresh mushrooms, red onions, green peppe...rs, black olives, roma tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil & parsley. Our 93 year old neighbor Mr Dotson told us that he only liked vegetables on his pizza, so we named this one after the street that he lives on. . #pizza #eatlocal #vegetablepizza #cottlevillemo #cottleville #keepcottlevillecool See more

Then & Now...... Historic Home & Property Offered For Sale in Cottleville The former home of lifelong resident Frank J. Martin who was born, raised, and occupie...d this home from 1945-2020 is now offered for sale. Frank was born on November 15, 1945 to the late Clem Martin and Barbara (nee Drieswerd) Martin. Frank was employed by St. Joseph Church and School where he was a member. He was well known and loved by area residents. *As shown here in the 1875 W.R. Brink & Company Atlas Map photos, in the 1800's the property located along the Boone's Lick Road (Hwy. N/St. Charles Street) served as a farm and home to Charles F. Miller. Miller who died in 1888 at the age of 72 is said to be buried in a cemetery near Weldon Spring. George F. Miller who grew up on the farm left $1,000 in his 1921 will to be used for amenities to improve the town. His detailed 15 page will called for the use of the interest income earned on his $1,000 to beautify the town by planting shade trees consisting of heart maples, construction and maintenance of a drinking fountain and improvements to streets and sidewalks. You can find a framed copy of these 1875 atlas images in the lobby of Cottleville City hall. This home and property now for sale is adjacent to Lorenzo's Plaza. The brick plaza with festoon lighting was named after Lorenzo Cottle (grandson of founder Capt. Warren Cottle) who platted the town in 1839. In 1839, Lorenzo Cottle also deeded the plaza area to serve as "public property". At one time, Cottleville numbered eleven places of business and three hotels. In 1846, the town became a rival of St. Charles and petitions were circulated to have the County Seat of Justice transferred from St. Charles to Cottleville. The people of St. Charles heard about this daring attempt and soon many counter-petitions circulated. This ended the ambitions of Cottleville's citizens to bring the County Seat to Cottleville but the site (Lorenzo's Plaza) remains as a public gathering place today. For more information regarding this property for sale please contact [email protected] or visit: https://www.dutchmanrealty.com//highway-n-st-charles-stre/

The community of Cottleville along with the Cottleville Wine Seller mourns the loss of a great man, Don Yarber. Don along with his wife and their friend followe...d their vision to open the Cottleville Wine Seller in 2008. Don and Sylvia were co-owners of the Cottleville Wine Seller, until approximately 2011. As former Mayor of Cottleville, Don's vision, brought this town to what it is today. Don was not only a former Mayor and business partner, he was a friend and mentor. His personality, sense of humor and love of life was infectious. Don was a friend to all, his continuous prank calls, jokes, stories (true or not) and magic tricks are all treasured memories. His simple presence along with his smile and laugh would bring light and fun to the wine seller every time he would visit. Don, all of us at the Cottleville Wine Seller along with the community of Cottleville, will forever miss you and love you! We will all remember, that it is always Sunny in Cottleville, because of you! See more

History of Mannino's Market "Mannino’s Market is a family owned business, passed down through four generations and counting. In the late 1930s, Phillip and Jose...phine Mannino founded Mannino’s Market in Ferguson, Missouri. Their son and his wife, Tony and Betty, took over the business by the mid 1940’s. The store was known then as Day and Night Market. Eventually their son and current owner, Carmen Mannino, took over the store with his wife Clione. They ran the store in the Ferguson location from the mid 1970s until 1998, when they moved to their current Cottleville location. Breaching into the fourth generation of Mannino’s, is son, Tony, who runs the Cottleville store. Keeping the tradition alive of his grandfather, Tony hand-selects the produce for both stores in the early hours of the morning just as they did in the 1940's. One face that was always recognized at the Cottleville location was Betty Mannino’s, known to most as Grandma. You would most commonly find her watching over the pie case, although you didn’t notice her standing behind it until you walked up close! She was also the senior cashier at the store and helped the girls up front manage the register. Even though Grandma’s responsibilities lessened over the years, everyone was sure to listen to her thick Italian accent while she gave directions. Grandma passed away in May of 2009 at the age of 93, but her presence will always be remembered and felt at the store."
