So many things happening and changing here. But something that doesn’t change is new comics Wednesday. (Ok, it changes when a pandemic prevents new comics from being made. But other than that it always happens. (Ok, it may not happen when Christmas falls in a manner that messes with it. But other than those two reasons...) Also casual commander tonight.

Magic draft day is here and starts at 1. If you want to play and have a chance to win something from this pool. Come out and play. Everyone gets a card from this pool!

A post not focused on comics !!! Whatever could I be thinking? Actually just thinking there are tons of other awesome things here besides comics, and if you haven’t seen any of them.......LOOK!

New comics and tons of goodies on the shelves. Come check it out and see what you are missing in your life.

New comics and pops! So much goodness on the shelves that your head will implode (ok, it may explode, but that’s messier and I’m not sure I have it in me to clean up a bunch of exploded heads in here today. So please refrain from exploding and limit yourself to imploding. Just for this week.) And if you haven’t come by yet, don’t be dismayed by the presence of a train. It wasn’t a BNSF derailment. It came from our museum and appears to have a strong desire to now reside at th...e comic shop. More on that later. Also. Modern magic is gaining traction and becoming a weekly Thursday night occurrence here. Usually kicks off sometime after 6:30. We are pretty accommodating to holding up for someone who is on the way (you do have to let us know you are on the way. The resident psychic is currently away on medical leave due to an unforeseen incident involving a moth flying into their ear.)

New comics and other new things. Like tables and chairs and tic tac toe and pictures on the wall and kids tents (not staying they already have a new home)... So much good deeply awesomeness. How can you resist coming in and looking around?

Seems weird that Wednesday comes around so frequently. Almost weekly it seems. Quite a few new titles on the shelf today. Good stuff for sure. I’m enjoying the ones I’ve gone through so far. Autumnal and Unkindness of Ravens are the type of books that issue two will be at the top of my read list in October!

Prerelease day 2! (Of 3) We start at noon today. Plenty of time to come in and be part of the festivities. There will be packs for prizes as well as valuable cards. Haven’t got the card prizes figured out yet. Kinda dependent on how many people show up to play. More people means more prize value!

Magic stuff newest set is in the shop! Zendikar prerelease begins tonight. 4 pm. Friday night we do rolling 4 man pods. So as soon as four are here, they can jump in and get started. Prize support is awarded on wins for individual matches, no bracket structure. Saturday at noon we have a traditional 16 man bracket. With prize support in the form of packs and rare cards. Sunday is the same as Saturday except we start at 1.

New comics are on the shelf! Well, minus the ones I sold out of already. Had a few of those happen already! And in magic news, the new set drops this weekend. I will be doing prerelease tournaments this weekend. Friday rolling four man pods starting as soon as 4 people are here and ready to go. Saturday a traditional bracket with 16 spaces starting at noon. Sunday a traditional bracket starting at 1.

New comics were a mess this week. Between holiday and diamond, hard to say which made it worse! But a full shelf of new books is now in place. Lots of good things, but don’t take my word for it. Come see for yourself. (And while you are here, I will tell you about the good stuff on the shelf.)

Gonna be open all day today! Because it’s how I do holidays. Go to the shop all day. Hoping to get some board games played. Some magic played. Just have a fun day in general. I will be doing sales of some sort. Will figure that part out as the day goes on.... Also, here are magic promo cards. Will have a stack of them which you can get one of two ways. Come in and play magic at the shop today. Or come in and buy something magic oriented (shaker board play doesn’t count.)

Prize pool for draft today. Every player will get to pick one of these (face down). Draft is $15 and starts at 1. Stick around after if you want, there’s usually a commander game happening. Also I will be open Monday for Labor Day. There will be sale specials happening. I tend to do them on a whim for the day. So who knows. Might be buy a commander deck and get a free bar stool! (Spoiler alert, it won’t be that. Can’t give away the stools here.)
