Based on local restrictions, we've made the decision to hold the 2021 Memorial Stair Climb virtually. That doesn't mean that we aren't going to climb for every single one of the fallen, we may just be doing it in different locations. Similar to last year we'll have a FB live opening ceremony, this year featuring retired FDNY firefighter Tim Duffy. More day-of details will be announced as we get closer to the climb. Get registered so you can #ringthebell for the fallen from wh...erever you are! www.columbiastairclimb.com #CMSC #separatetogether

Each ones’s story different, but all that day showed incredible bravery and strength. We vowed to Never Forget the events of this day. ... No day shall erase you from the memory of time. - Virgil Nineteen years ago tonight, 2977 people were eating dinner with their loved ones, hanging out with friends, working late, working out, attending their kids’ events or otherwise carrying out their daily lives not knowing the fate that awaited them in the morning. Among them were 343 firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers and 9 EMS personnel that gave their life trying to help others. Don’t forget the America of S...eptember 12, 2001. We are still a great nation. Hug the ones you love; tell them. Never forget.

On #ThisDayInHistory in 1971, the last piece of steel was placed on the South Tower of the World Trade Center at 1,362 feet, above the cloud level. Construction... on the South Tower began in January of 1969. The World Trade Center towers were the tallest buildings in the world for less than a year; they were soon surpassed by Chicago’s Sears Tower. Still, the towers held an incomparable mystique. It is with a sad heart that we share the passing of one our good friends and fellow AMSC - CNY Operations Director. Please keep his family and our climb family in your thoughts and prayers. Bud was a great man and will be greatly missed.
