COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT - Due to the Holiday Season, the December Regular Meeting of City Council has been cancelled. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year.

Taxi Cab service in the City of Waynesville. It has been brought to the City's attention that some misinformation is being posted on personal Facebook page(s) regarding Taxi service within the City of Waynesville. The City of Waynesville has NOT placed a ban on this service or on company(s) whom provide this type of service. Currently, the City of Waynesville requires the company(s) whom wish to provide these services to obtain a City business license and all drivers to obta...in a permit to operate. Some elementary steps are required for the licensing process to ensure proper vetting of both the business and driver. These include items such as: * Valid insurance * Valid Driver's License * Approved background check/criminal history These requirements ensure public safety and reliability for all who choose to utilize these services.
