Jackson County Health Department has received its first shipment of the vaccine. Current vaccinations are for long-term care facility residents and staff as well as healthcare workers. As always, during snowfall or other wintry precipitation they will focus on designated snow routes until the snow/sleet/ice/freezing rain stops. Has COVID-19 impacted your business or family financially? The City of Grandview has distributed $100,000 to Grandview, MO Chamber of Commerce and $50,000 to Grandview Assistance Program in CARES Act funds. Businesses could qualify for a one-time $2,500 or $5,000 payment, while residents could get help with mortgage/rent or utilities. The Chamber and GAP are accepting applications until November 19. These groups will also award the funds to those who qualify. Guidelines and applications can be found at www.grandview.org/covid19
