The Licking Police Department is investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins which occurred during the over night hours Friday night on the north side of town. We are asking for the communities assistance on this investigation. If anyone has home security cameras in the area we ask you review the footage and contact the department if you observe anything suspicious. Furthermore, we ask everyone take extra precautions and ensure you do not leave valuables in your vehicles and m...ake sure to lock your vehicles at night. ***Any information provided will remain confidential. The Licking Police Department will again be participating in the annual Shop with a Hero (formally known as Shop with a Cop) program again this year. Some of our officers have decided to help raise money for the event by participating in No Shave November. We are also selling raffle tickets to help raise additional funds for the event. Tickets can be purchased at the Licking City Hall or from any of our police officers. See the attached flyer for additional information.

This is a community event that we can line Main Street with from the 4-way South to Old Salem Road. It's a fun night to see all the kids dressed up in their co...stumes. Wanna participate call City Hall at 573-674-2521 to be placed on the map and it can be as simple as handing out candy from the curb of the street. Can't set up that night but want to help, call us. I have spoke with the Texas County Health Department and we are ok to have this event. It is outside and outside events are encouraged. Due to the Social Distancing guidelines there will not be a bounce house this year.
