Hebrews 12:2 says "looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." This verse makes it abundantly clear that Jesus did NOT allow "Shame" to stop him from going to the Cross. ... What shame did Jesus despise? This shame could have paralyzed Jesus. Shame had such a crippling effect that can often paralyze people and cause them to settle for mediocrity.
