Jaime is a very... gifted violinist who also has an inspiring story to share. Jaime began playing the violin at the age of five. Born and raised in communist Cuba, he was given many opportunities-including an offer to study in Moscow with some of the greatest musicians of our time-if only he and his family would renounce their belief in God. They refused. When Jaime was ten, miraculously, his family was given the opportunity to leave the country. They came to the United States, where Jaime received a Christian education and violin lessons with eminent violinist and teacher Cyrus Forough. But Jaime dreamed of being a missionary doctor, and in 1994 he entered the University of Illinois School of Medicine. In 1996, he left medical school and a promising medical career to follow God’s call to devote his life to full-time music ministry. Since 1988 he has traveled over 6 million air miles and has played on 6 continents and in over 80 countries (he’s waiting for an invitation to play for penguins in Antarctica to visit all 7 continents). Dear Friends: Did you know that Jesus is returning very soon? The Bible is clear that we do not know the day or hour (Matthew 24:36), yet we are told we can kno...w when it is near (Matthew 24:32, 33). Have you noticed the signs around you? Unprecedented natural disasters (fire, hurricanes, etc.) Violence in the streets. Immorality that rivals the time of Sodom and Gomorrah. Global Pandemic (the Bible calls it pestilence) Extreme political polarization. People will become lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God (2 Tim. 3:4) Many more The Bible predicts the final crisis will start when the United States (symbolized by the second beast power of Revelation 13) no longer speaks as a Lamb, but shifts and begins to speak like a dragon. It is during this time that the world quickly descends into chaos, destruction and the greatest time of trouble humanity has ever experienced. The reason for these calamities is that men’s hearts have turned away from God and embraced the sinful allusions of the devil. God goes to the greatest lengths possible to save as many as possible, even sending judgments to startle us out of our lethargy in an attempt to save us from dying in sin. He wants to save you! The events you see happening at present are meant as a wake-up call. The Lord is inviting and urging you to put your trust completely in Him and He will be your refuge in the troubling days ahead. He is the only refuge! God does not bring calamity to scare us into heaven, for He does not desire the service of fear. His infinite wisdom sees the trouble coming (He even predicted it in the Bible) and He says, I love you, I gave My Son to die so you could have another chance, come, take refuge in me, by surrendering your heart and I will remove your fears and fill you with My love. Then, in the troubling days ahead you will say, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 So why wait, when God has promised you such incredible peace and love and you can have it today. Simply pray, confessing your sin and surrendering your life, then ask Him to fill you with His love. It’s that easy. So then, why wait?
