Overview Under the direct supervision of the Head Guards, Pool Managers, Recreation Specialists, Recreation Manager. Lifeguard is preventing aquatic emergencies by maintaining 10/20 surveillance protection and enforcing pool rules. As well as providing quality customer service and safe and clean aquatic facility. Must be available to work: Days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.... Responsibilities Provide a safe aquatic environment for the public. Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations governing the conduct of pool patrons. Lifeguard skills maintained at Test Ready Skills at all times. Attendance of mandatory monthly in-service trainings 4 hrs per month Maintenance and cleaning of the pool, pool deck, concessions, locker rooms, showers, rest rooms, and other areas as directed by the managers. Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior and attitude. Respond to all patron needs in a courteous manner and report comments/complaints to the manager on duty. On time for all shifts Other duties as assigned. Skill Requirements Knowledge and Skills required: Must be able to lift 25 lbs. objects. Maintain a professional and mature attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff and patrons. Work effectively with supervisors, co-workers and the public. Ability to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations. Duties require attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition and identification of swimmers in distress or in process of un-safe behavior. Minimum Qualifications/Skills: Must be a minimum of 15 years of age Must currently or be able to possess the following certifications (Training is available) Jeff Ellis and Associates Lifeguard License Must complete the City of Chesterfield Training/Orientation Program Abilities Abilities while performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stand, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. This position requires mobility Duties require attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition and identification of swimmers in distress or in process of un-safe behavior. This position requires proficient swimming ability and the proper application of rescue and first-aid techniques. This position requires the ability to properly extract Guests in Distress from anywhere in the aquatic environment, Working conditions- Manual labor is required Extreme weather conditions and working with chemicals are factors in this position. Responsibilities Position Summary: Responsible for coaching dive team participants and overall improving their dive skills. Must participate during all team practices,... meets, and other scheduled events. Principal duties and responsibilities: Responsible for the health, safety, and enjoyment of all dive team participants during all dive team practices, meets and events. Attend all dive team functions, including but not limited to, practices, meets, and parenting meetings. Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations set forth by the Municipal Swim League and City of Chesterfield governing the conduct of the swim team and its participants. Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior, and attitude. Start and end practices on time. Instruct daily workouts for divers between the ages of 5-18. Demonstrate skills to divers during practices. Develop line-ups for each dive meet. Keep daily attendance, progress reports, accident reports, and any other necessary record keeping for the Municipal Swim League. Work effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and the public. Assist in facility set up and clean up for each home dive team meet. Respond to all participant needs in a courteous manner and report comments/complaints to the Recreation Specialist. Assist lifeguards/manager(s) with established emergency action plan procedures developed by the department. Assist with the City of Chesterfield programs and events as needed. Communicate frequently and clearly with Parent Representative. Assemble 3, 15-minute sessions after daily practice for individual instruction/coaching. Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Other duties as assigned. Skill Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to direct, supervise, instruct, and evaluate assistant coaches and divers. Ability to interact with other municipal dive team coaches and league representatives in a professional manner. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. objects. Maintain a professional and mature attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff, and patrons. Education, Qualifications, and Experience Required: Must be a minimum of 20 years old. Possess a High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Must maintain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification and/or Lifeguard skills background. Two years coaching and previous competitive diving experience. Proficient Dive experience. Must complete the City of Chesterfield Training/Orientation Program. Education, Qualifications, and Experience Required: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or 17 with Competitive Team member experience. Previous coaching or competitive swimming experience.
