Special thanks to Jean Kimme and her sweet family, Bill Kimme and Carol Brunnert for the delicious food they had catered for all our staff yesterday!! It was yummy!!
A lot of things have changed during this pandemic. This has not...they still love their BINGO!! Ha! Socially distanced and in masks, of course! Today they were glad to see Chelsey!
These hard workers recently spent many days in these fabulous outfits! Stop to think about having on your uniform and then wearing a mask, usually a shield, shoe covers by choice, and a plastic gown and gloves. And the heat is turned up to keep our residents warm. Whew! Here’s their beginning and their end of a Covid nightmare. Thanks to all our hard working staff! All of you are so appreciated each and every day
It was cowboy day today and we had a ball! When Dana, our D.Op. gave us the idea to bring in some snow, we did! And that evolved into a snowball fight in the dining room! Amidst a Covid pandemic nightmare we had the most fun and laughter we have heard in a while!! **Our residents have their masks off since this snowball fight occurred during lunch!
Cowboy day at Cedarcrest! Target shooting and country/western sing along! Lunch was a chuck wagon dinner, complete with cobbler, served in a pie plate! And as if that wasn’t fun enough check our next post!!
New Year’s Eve reflections... As we close out this year...a year many of us will remember as one of our worst ever, let us pause to reflect on what has taken place. Our staff has come together and pushed forward through such adversity. During times of low staffing, our staff has pitched in and worked more. During times of many quarantined residents, our staff has met the challenges and taken good care of our precious residents. This year has taken many of those we love. We ha...ve cried alongside you in our losses. And I have no doubt that we are all a bit stronger for what we’ve faced. We are all a bit more compassionate for what we’ve endured. We are all anxious to see an end to this horror. In a few short days, as our new year begins, (how fitting) we will begin our vaccinations in hope to fight this virus and stamp it from our facility forever. Thank you, our families and friends, for your prayers and your support. May 2021 bring us great joy, an end to this awful pandemic, and God’s richest blessings.
Our socially distanced New Year’s Eve party was loud and fun!! We welcome 2021!!!!
Today two goats visited Cedarcrest Manor! These fun goats usually come inside for visits but due to COVID, cannot. So they made window visits today! The residents loved it!
We have some awfully cute reindeer running around today!
Today was Dress Like an Elf Day! We had so much fun! We had our annual resident Christmas party and our weekly parade! Santa Claus visited the residents with his elf helpers!
