Many of our past (and future!) guests have booked more than one of our rentals for a big group stay. These groups always have a fabulous time-- getting together for activities like hiking and visiting such places as Elephant Rocks, Sam A. Baker Park, Rocky Falls, Johnson Shut-Ins, and a record-breaking number (really!) of natural springs. Cabin on the Creek, The Happy Camper, and Creekside Cottage are located in a gorgeous part of the Southeastern Missouri Ozarks. We're surrounded by creeks, rivers, swimming holes, waterfalls, and springs. Many of our guests schedule river floating trips with one of the local businesses, and enjoy a snaking bus-ride through the mountains where their reserved kayaks await. From ther...e, they strap their coolers onto their kayaks and they're off for a full day of floating down some of the clearest rivers in the country (with plenty of stops for swimming and snacking, of course!). Some guests opt to take a short drive from our location to Big Creek, St. Francis River, or Black River for a day of swimming and picnicking on the bank. Maybe a scenic Spring Tour is more your style- make a day out of visiting three or four springs. This area is known for them! Returning to one of our rentals after a long, action-packed day, our guests feel right at home with A/C and heat, comfy beds, fluffy towels, and plenty of space to commune, relax, and prepare meals.
