You can’t get to the finish line, if you don’t START doing these FIVE things: Find Your Why - Figure it out. Write it down. Post it everywhere to remind yourself. Trash The All-Or-Nothing Attitude - The secret to weight loss success is consistency over intensity. Doing SOMETHING is always better than nothing.... Use Your Pencil, Not Your Eraser - Instead of focusing on the food you can’t have, focus on what you can have. Live by the 80/20 rule. Because who wants to go through life without a cocktail or a cupcake?! Not us! Practice Self Compassion - You work out, you eat well because you love yourself, not because you’re punishing yourself. You’ve only got one body. Learn to love it. The Scale - The scale is only one measure of success. It is NOT an accurate measure of your overall health. It does not take into account your lean body mass vs body fat. Instead, measure your success by: Are you sleeping better? Do you have more energy during the day? Are your clothes fitting better? NEW SIX-WEEK CAMPS LAUNCH MONDAY, JANUARY 18TH: https://bit.ly/3bpMTV8 Let’s do this together.

We interrupt your scrolling to remind you to #keepmoving These last ten months have been hard. It’s ok if you fell back into some bad habits. First: Forgive yourself. Now, flip the script. ... On Monday, we launch virtual & in-person six-week camps. You’ll meet us LIVE two days or three days a week, morning or night, depending on what works best for you. It’s a LIVE trainer & a fitfam, so it’s an APPOINTMENT you make for you. If you want to succeed: You HAVE to start putting YOU on the calendar. Then, you gotta find yourself some accountability partners. You know, there’s a reason group training programs like ours have such a high success rate. It’s why we’ve been doing it this way for 20 years. Because it WORKS. Because we’re doing it TOGETHER. That’s just a little something our CEO learned in the US ARMY. It takes a unit. THIS IS WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE. But first, the back story: A trainer bumps into two campers, who are sisters, at the grocery store. They’d already told her earlier they had a goal to meal prep for the week. This is the picture that followed when she checked in on them later in the day. Get it home. Get it prepped. Meal prepping actually might sound like a lot of work, but it actually SAVES you so much time. No wondering what to eat every day. No grabbing fast food because you’re tired. Dedication. Practice. Commitment. That’s how you succeed.

If you don’t think 6 WEEKS will make a difference: Meet Allison. How’d did she do it?! Eating healthy Moving her body Drinking water... No quick fixes & she is FEELING the difference. Because we can’t do our body composition tests like we normally do right now, we’ve asked you to choose a piece of clothing & look at the difference after each camp. She just started the three week camp this week! Keep going, Allison! And, thank you, for leading with your HEALTH as to why you’re doing it. Hoo-Aah!

Happy Veterans Day to our fearless leader, US Army Veteran, Lori Patterson, who took her love for the US Army and fitness and combined them to create Boot Camp Challenge19 years ago. We are proud to be a boot camp that - unlike other boot camps - is founded by an actual veteran and based in the principles she learned in the Army that it takes a unit to complete a mission. Happy Veterans Day to Lori and to ALL of our veterans today for their service & sacrifices made by them and, their families, as well.

One year ago today, we were leading the warmup at the St. Louis Veterans Day 5K & it was FREEZING. This year, we’re in a pandemic & doing it virtually in 70+ degree weather. Not everyone is doing it all at once. ... They’re taking it step-by-step, one day at a time over the course of this week. That’s how habits are formed, you know. It’s the small daily steps you take. Small steps every day. One less coffee & choosing water instead. Grabbing an apple when you’re hungry, instead of a candy bar. (Because if you’re not hungry enough to eat an apple, you’re not hungry) Think about THAT the next time you open the refrigerator door. That’s how you START. Lori & Tony Patterson US ARMY VETERANS

WE LOVE THESE AHA MOMENTS! Don’t let a piece of equipment that is NOT an accurate measure of your health control your emotions on the daily. It’s not fair to you! The scale is just a snapshot of your overall weight in that moment in time. It does not take into account a number of factors, including your lean muscle mass vs body fat. Your body was built to move. Move it like you love it, not like you hate it because it’s the only one you’ve got!

Wellness is about ALL of you: spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social, vocational, financial and physical. You have to take care of ALL of the dimensions. So here are a few things you can do TODAY to keep you well: Spend time in prayer or meditation.... Connect with a friend and have a chat. Create a financial plan then do it. Read a book or listen to a podcast. Ask you WHY you feel the things you do and spend some time with your answer. Then decide if you want to make a change. Pull your hair into a pony, go outside and take a walk. Lastly, give yourself a big hug. Cuz you're awesome.
