The next step to bringing KC Streetcar to the riverfront! This is real! We've been building momentum on the riverfront, but this is a HUGE step to increasing density and creating a walkable, accessible neighborhood for everyone in KC. We'll be with our neighbors to the west this Saturday! As we look at extending our portion of the trail into the West Bottoms, it's important to take care of what we already have. Riverfront Heritage Trail and Historic West Bottoms are leading the way to clean up the trail and gateways to the West Bottoms. Port KC will be there, Bikewalkkc too. We appreciate all the hands we can get!... Please RSVP

Our park is growing more than ever! BUT that does mean growing pains. We have spots for time-restricted parking on the riverfront, which have become necessary as parking becomes increasingly congested. We want to bring this to everyone's attention because we are beginning enforcement. We've seen an unprecedented number of patrons enjoying the park, and we will have construction on new apartments in the near future.... We also continue all of our regular work to grow this area - adding new amenities, adding trash cans, maintaining the park and trails, and supporting the trails and trail expansion. All part of our goal to make this an area for our city to be proud of. To be clear, we are not issuing parking tickets. Cars will be towed if there are issues.

Riverfront Drive at #BerkleyPark is part of the 2.5 miles of roadway shut off to traffic to allow better social distancing. Now even more space to enjoy the park. Appreciate the leadership and the move from Mayor Lucas, Councilman Bunch, and KCMO.

Trimming trees all day today in Riverfront West (see map). The trail is NOT closed, and there is a lot of room to get around it - be mindful and take care. We are removing overgrowth, non-native plants, and trees damaged by Berky the Beaver and friends. Photo and beaver name by Jon.
