Well I’ve said we’d never have a other Bloodhound but having worked with this litters sire and the need to get another manhunter in the pipeline we will be heading to Nebraska to pick this little guy up soon. To say we are excited is an understatement. Thanks to Shawn Daffer for the chance to have one of your pups. If anyone is looking for a working line Bloodhound pup give Shawn a shout. Proven working parents and OFA tested as well.... We will need lots of help with getting this fella imprinted on puppy trails before it gets miserable cold here so we are looking for people to come play and do short fun fire trails once we get him in!

Speak of the dog and she gets a call out. Saint Louis Fire Departments SAR Team of K9 Armor and Ian responding to a Fire/building collapse where homeless were known to occupy. This was at the end of their search and we are so happy to say there was no victims located and the building was not occupied. I’m so proud to be a part of this units start up and excited we will be adding an additional dog and handler to this unit next month!

Happy Handlers and happy dogs, nothing better! Our St Louis Fire Department Search and Rescue team is back for a few weeks of yearly recert and adding trailing to their skill set. This is one team of ours that busts their ass and continues to push themselves in their training to be the best they can be!

We were so saddened to hear about one of the dogs in Zambia that we worked with each time we were there passing away suddenly while on an operation. Our hearts go out to the handlers and members of the North Luangwa Conservation Project who loved Tesla so very much. This is from the team there: This past weekend we received some devastating news when one of our four beloved working dogs, Tesla, passed away .... Tesla was a phenomenal dog. He was loved by everyone, particularly his handlers who are absolutely distraught. In an effort to find a silver lining, we are reflecting on the enormous success and happiness of Tesla’s time with us in North Luangwa. Two years ago Tesla arrived from the U.S., and since he came to Zambia he has been an integral part of the anti-poaching team, working to protect this rich and diverse landscape. Over this time the handlers, as well as the other dogs in the unit, have grown in knowledge, compassion and expertise, forming an unbreakable bond. We are confident that the team will mourn, learn and bounce back from this stronger than ever. Thank you to our donors, partners, friends and the canine experts who have been such an important part of Tesla’s life, the canine unit and the success of North Luangwa as a whole. Gotta love getting these texts and super proud of our home team. Salem Police Department’s K9 Manhunting team of K9 Charko, K9 Officer Michael Loveday and Cover Officer Jesse Dodd just went 2 in one on an out of state Parole Absconder and accomplice after a pursuit in the county. Over 3/4 miles in this heat but that didn’t keep them from hammering the suspects. Those who know this teams been though a bunch with Mikey’s fighting off leukemia and ongoing treatments even whil...e working the street. But finding bad-guys is better than any drug or medicine there is! Want to actually find the bad guys and not make up another excuse after another why your team didn’t perform? Give us a call but if you want to train for bare minimum standards and just be part of the mass production of substandard dogs then keep going to the big named, national organizational backed vendors. Our teams will keep doing what we do.

The K9 world is small, for the most part we all know most everyone out there that Is doing good as well as those fakers and posers that do the opposite. Ive always been one to advise handlers to seek other training perspectives and work with as many quality trainers as possible. I also will shoot anyone straight and let you know exactly what I think of another trainers ability (if I have seen them work or of I’ve ever worked a team from them. I don’t give accolades or referra...ls lightheartedly. I am not from the school where everyone is told they are doing great and awesome. I also always feel grateful when we are suggested as a training vendor to help existing teams who may have issues in their work. But when the referral comes from a trainer who I have great respect and hold on high regard, well let’s say I was completely humbled. Franco Angelini, thank you so much for shooting these guys my way. We wrapped up and saw some good developments in the short time they got to work with me. They will for sure be back and hopefully we can get them on our monthly training rotation. Just wish you were here for us to mad scientist round table and build a absolute man stopping beast. If/when they return will give them my all, and thanks again!

Although not one of our dogs but we had the honor to instruct her handler and her at a two week course. She was a standout and we remembered her the most of the teams we had in class. This team actually won top team and was given a custom leather collar with a 1st Batt Scroll lazer burned onto it. She was KIA a year ago and hated to hear about it just today. RLTW
