This cake has a funny story... my daughter wanted an ice cream cake for her birthday, I was too busy this year to make the ice cream cake (I've done it before, so i can do it, but it's more delicate than regular cakes and we were having the party outside in the Midwest heat and all. You get me.) so i went to our local Dairy Queen and asked them if they could do the random design (leopard and a sun with an 8 inside the sun) she wanted for her cake. To my surprise they told me ...yes! So i ordered it relieved that one thing off my list was checked off. The day before the party i took my parents sight seeing around st Louis and st Charles. No cell service for at least two hours at one point. The next day i have about ten errands to run while my husband and parents set up the party at the neighborhood pool. Last stop was the cake, but when i got there and asked about the cake i ordered they looked mortified and said they tried to call. Can you guess the day and the two hour period of time in which they tried to call? Just. My. Luck. They said since their printer was down and they don't feel they have the skill to do the art by hand they called to tell me, but my phone didn't even give me a notification of the voicemail they left. So there was a blank white canvas of an ice cream cake sitting in the freezer. I lit up and told her i was actually a cake decorator, and well she lit up too haha. She gave me the arsenal of frosting and i piped this baby out in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately that was the time they say to serve it by and by the time i got it back to the party it was melting. Hello Kitty cake i made for a party last Saturday. Bottom tier is chocolate with chocolate mousse filling. Top tier is strawberry with strawberry mousse filling, whipped vanilla buttercream frosting and a handmade marshmallow fondant Hello Kitty topper.

Fun cake i did for a friend today! Marble cake, chocolate frosting, and marshmallow fondant. The best part? It's %100 vegan! I used dandies marshmallows, which made for a less stretchy texture, but it worked perfectly anyway! Isn't this the cutest little piggy?!

We are huge Star Wars fans, so i was very excited when my son wanted BB-8 last year for his birthday :-)

Another cake I did last summer for a friends daughter and friend of my daughter! Marbled sheet cake with her favorite animal on top! I just love flamingos and the color scheme! So summery, With all this warm weather we have been having I am looking more forward to summertime!
