The Ash Grove Police Department would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Willis’ family and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

We would like to introduce our newest police officer, Riley Benton. Officer Benton is a 2017 graduate of Ash Grove High School. He completed his academy training at Drury University in 2020. After obtaining his POST license, he worked as a police officer in Ozark, MO. Welcome to the Ash Grove Police Department, Officer Benton!

The Ash Grove Police Department recently conducted intruder training with the faculty and staff of the Ash Grove School District. Sergeant Bob Bell, Officer Andrew Benjamin, and Chief Darin Chance conducted the training. The training consisted of both classroom instruction and practical exercises. Michael Bell, a Security Officer with Drury University, assisted with the training as well. We take the safety and security of our Ash Grove Pirates very seriously!

The Ash Grove Police Department has two veterans on the roster. Officer Denny Lawson and Chief Darin Chance. When you have the opportunity to thank a veteran, do so. Not just today, but every day. Happy Veterans Day to all who have served!
