With cold weather coming this weekend and the following week, we ask that everyone be prepared. Ensure your homes are properly winterized for subzero weather to prevent pipe failure which could lead to electrical fires. Also please check on elderly. Ensure you have working carbon monoxide detectors due to heaters working extra hard to heat your homes. Space heaters are not recommended, but if you have to use one please follow all manufacturers warning. ... There will be an elevated fire risk for the next few days. Just as a reminder, watch those trailer chains and cigarette butts, burn piles and anything else that can cause a wild fire in the next few days.
