For all our Medicare Patients: Make sure you are checking your mailbox. We have heard that Aetna and DentaQuest are changing their plans for the better next year, and mailers from each company have been sent to subscribers. Don't miss out on learning your new plan benefits by thinking its junk mail.

Thank you Johnstone Supply-Hoffman for coming through for our office and being able to provide us with a new iWave commercial air scrubber on short notice. In our profession where everything is on back order or out of stock right now, we appreciate the ease and convenience your business provided us. Check out the video to get a glimpse of what this air cleaner can do. https://youtu.be/WlfimeZHtAQ

To our Dental Family, Thank you for your patience and continued understanding during these trying times in the world and our community. It’s is our unfortunate circumstance that we are unable to resume normal business hours and to our full capacity. Our number one priority is and has always been to serve our patients while ensuring the health and safety of our staff. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. C...enters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations. In addition to these federal agencies, our local Greene County Health Department has also issued instructions in a phase-type format. In trying to uphold these guidelines and also dealing with a low & back ordered supply of personal protective equipment, we have started implementing new protocols that will be fully in place starting May 18th. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we know this brings to our patients. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example: Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive for your appointment. We ask patients to please remain in your vehicle and contact our office when you have arrived. You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer coffee, magazines, and children’s toys since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times. We kindly ask to limit the number of people in the office to only those patients being seen. Unless a patient requires assistance, parent/guardian or translator. We hope the phases and guidelines for which we are adapting to will soon return to a resemblance of normal. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends. Sincerely, Dr. Jeff Sletto, DDS, Dr. Betsy McQueary, DDS, and the Artisan Dental Team

To our Artisan Dental Family, In following with the most recent CDC guidances, the American Dental Association and Missouri Dental Association announced new interim recommendations that dentists keep their offices closed to all but urgent and emergency procedures until April 30 at the earliest. We are taking these recommendations seriously to do our part for the community we serve. In addition, due to the proximity of individuals during dental procedures, and the generatio...n of aerosols with our equipment, the entire dental team and patients are at the highest risk of transmission. In light of this information, we are extending our office closure and will tentatively reopen MONDAY MAY, 4TH. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process and hope to begin seeing you all again very soon. You may leave us a voicemail at 417-886-9094 or you may also email directly to [email protected]. We will check messages periodically and make sure and attend to every question that may arise. Thank you to each one of you for being part of our Artisan Dental Family. Sincerely, Dr. Jeff Sletto, Dr. Betsy McQueary and Your Artisan Dental Team

To our Artisan Dental Family, I want to take this opportunity to touch base with you and let you know that we are all thinking about each of you during this difficult time. We are also taking this opportunity to stay updated with the most recent developments to better serve our community. As most of you know, the city of Springfield is under a 30-day lockdown order. In addition to that order, the CDC, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Hygienists’ Associati...on, the Missouri Dental Board, the Missouri Department of Health, and the Missouri Dental Association have asked that ALL DENTISTS postpone elective and non-urgent dental procedures to limit the spread of COVID-19. We are taking these recommendations seriously to do our part for the community and also to restrict our use of personal protective equipment to keep it available to healthcare workers on the front line. What does this mean for you? If you have an appointment scheduled on or before April 23rd, a member of our front desk will be reaching out to you this week to reschedule your appointment. During these additional weeks, we will remain available for our patients with true dental emergencies. Please be patient as we work through this process. We plan and hope to resume our normal patient care on MONDAY APRIL 27th, but we will continue to follow any new guidelines that may arise in the coming weeks.

During this time of uncertainty, our office anticipates operating normal business hours. We strongly encourage both our staff and patients to please practice good hygiene (on top of proper oral hygiene ). We kindly ask if you present with any symptoms, to please notify our office accordingly to reschedule your appointment until symptoms subside. Also, if you have been out of the country in the last two weeks, we please ask that you reschedule any current appointments for ...at least two weeks. Our office will continue implementing its cleaning protocols in accordance with the CDC and OSHA Standard Precautions. Our priority is to continue providing a facility in which the health and safety of our patients and staff can work and receive quality dental care. We appreciate your understanding as we all try to navigate what is best for the health of our patients and staff. If any major changes are decided, we will communicate through our Facebook page and our scheduled patients via phone/email/text. Thank You and God Bless, Artisan Dental
