Sending love and peace to our clients and friends this beautiful Christmas Eve. "O Holy Night" O holy night, the stars are brightly shining... It is the night of our dear Savior's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth. The thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees, Oh, hear the angel voices O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night divine, O night, O night divine, The thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees, Oh, hear the angel voices O night divine, O night when Christ was born O night divine, O night, O night divine, O holy night

Reminder for Thanksgiving: We will be closed Wednesday, November 25th through Friday, November 27th. Give us a call Monday for all things privileged and confidential. Try to remember that if you are choosing to spend time with family around the table, what is said there is absolutely not ever confidential, not going to be privileged, and will be on Facebook before you make it back home

I normally don’t share personal business on this page but to explain how the office will be operating this week it’s necessary. Everyone (all four) in my household is recovering from COVID. My children are still quarantined. This means that for this week at least, I will NOT be doing any in person appointments. If I am at the office, my children are with me. That means my secretary cannot be here at the same time.... All of this to say- if you knock on the door, and we aren’t expecting you, you may not get an answer. This doesn’t mean beat on the door and terrify my children. Please just call (573) 649-9546 and if we don’t answer, leave a message! It also means that with only one person here at a time there is a real possibility that if you call we could be on the phone or busy with another issue. I pray all of my clients and friends stay safe. This is very real. Thank you so much for being patient as we recover

*COVID 19 REMINDER* Currently Mississippi County is at high risk for transmission of Covid-19. Based upon the recommendations of the Mississippi County Health Department and Governor, we will be following strict protocols. The door will be locked and in-person contact will be limited and BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. ... We will gladly schedule phone and teleconferences to limit exposure and arrange a time to safely come in person to sign or notarize any necessary documents. You will be asked to wear a mask for any transaction taking place inside the office. We will also be glad to bring documents to your vehicle if you feel uncomfortable coming inside and are not required to sign. Hopefully this is short lived and we are all doing our part. Please don’t hesitate to call (573) 649-9546 or email [email protected] for anything you may need!

It’s a special day in Eagle Nation - the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL We are anxious for all the administrators, teachers, staff, students and parents and praying for a wonderful day. Share your back to school pictures below (virtual or in-person - let’s see those smiling faces)!

Update on Office Policies/Procedures: We’ve had a good run folks! However, as many in the East Prairie District know we are facing a temporary school closure. That being said, both myself and my assistant Amber have a gaggle of young kids between us who now will be required to learn virtually. ... I am asking for patience and grace. I may not be in the office every day. My assistant may not be in the office every day (which means I will be akin to a chicken with my head cut off). There may be times we have to close. Further, as of now we will be keeping the office door locked and appointments will be required. This is for both the safety of our clients and for ourselves and families. Our goal is to return calls and messages within 24 hours. Please leave a message so we know you’ve called OR email [email protected] for appointments and questions. As always, if not in the office physically I will be working virtually. Thank you in advance for understanding during these times and choosing Poley Law for your legal needs.

CONTINUED COVID-19 Response We continue to take the health and safety of our families and clients very seriously. In light of Governor Parson's recent order lifting any restrictions on businesses, we are using the following protocol and approach: PLEASE READ:... In person consultations and meetings will continue to be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We are spacing out appointments to limit any waiting in the waiting room and to sanitize appropriately between. Please do not bring anyone with you to appointments unless necessary. If you arrive early, please check in with us. If we aren't ready for your appointment or already have people in the waiting room, we may request you wait in your vehicle to help us keep congestion down in a small area. For those still uncomfortable with in-person appointments, we gladly will bring documents to your vehicle for sign and offer phone and video conferencing. Our hours will be Monday-Thursday from 8:00-4:00pm and Friday by appointment only. PLEASE CALL AHEAD if you need an appointment or to pick up/sign documents in person. We will continue to answer phone calls and emails per usual. If you have a cough, fever, or have been exposed to someone who is ill, PLEASE reschedule and/or convert your appointment to a teleconference or video conference. Please wash your hands and do not be offended if we maintain the appropriate recommended distance and don’t shake your hand All of this to say - our clients are the best and we know that even during this time (and perhaps MORESO during this time) legal issues arise and you need help. That’s why we are here. We are here to help you. So while it may look a little different our service will not change. Use this time to plan ahead, review your wills/trusts/deeds, and call to get a consultation on developing all important legal documents for your future if you’ve not done that already. Stay safe. Take care of yourself. Help your neighbor. Spread hope and love. Most importantly, if you don’t know the love of Jesus Christ as your Savior - call. We will share His love all day, every day, at no charge

OUR CONTINUED COVID-19 RESPONSE We are taking the health and safety of our families and clients very seriously. While Phase 1 of Missouri's reopening plan is under way, we are still asked to adhere to strict social distancing measures and to stay home if and when possible. In that light, through MAY 31st, we will continue to implement the following procedures: PLEASE READ:... 1. In person consultations and meetings will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. 2. THE DOOR WILL BE LOCKED. PLEASE CALL AHEAD if you need an appointment or to pick up/sign documents in person. We are offering curb side service for simple document pick-ups/drop-offs, payments, basic signatures, etc. 3. We will continue to answer phone calls and emails per usual. 4. When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, please wait in your vehicle and call to let us know you are here. If we are not quite ready, we will ask you to wait in your vehicle until we come to get you. Per CDC and the Missouri guidelines, we should be limiting any waiting in a "waiting area" if possible and will do our very best to enforce this. 5. If you have a cough, fever, or have been exposed to someone who is ill, PLEASE reschedule and/or convert your appointment to a teleconference or video conference. 6. Be a helper. Most importantly, if you don’t know the love of Jesus Christ as your Savior - call. We will share His love all day, every day, at no charge ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’

Our office is closed today for the funeral services of Kasey Shelton, our wonderful assistant Amber’s sister. Please offer your prayers for the family and especially Kasey’s five young children as they navigate the coming days and weeks without their Momma, sister, daughter and friend. Because Amber will likely be out this week, I ask you to be patient as I manage the office on my own! I will do my very best to answer and return all calls and emails as quickly as possible!
