The new bestsellers this week include "The Sentinel: A Jack Reacher Novel," "The Noel Letters," and "Three Women Disappear: With Bonus Novel Come and Get Us." The new movie this week is "Little Women [Blu-ray]."

The Anne Croxdale Memorial Library will be open more hours starting Monday, November 2nd. Social distancing and mouth coverings are still encouraged in our Library.

It's almost time to start thinking about Turkeys! Starting Monday you can stop by any branch of the McDonald County Library to pick up your turkey template for disguising.

This has been a year like none other, and although aspects of the Turkey Trot have had to be modified, we hope we can count on the same enthusiasm and participation that has been shown in the past. The Southwest City's Annual Turkey Trot is the main yearly fundraiser that supports the Anne Croxdale Memorial Library and The Southwest City Arts Center. This year, due to Covid 19 issues and for the safety of the runners and the volunteers, we will not be holding the race in person. Our Tin-Man haybale is on display!

Come to the library and check out the cute display that Cynthia Ross and granddaughter, Sydney Lindquist created! Both love their horses and cows (and every other living creature) but this display features horses and cows with a dog and chicken in the midst. They also included a corral, trailers, feed, etc. It's adorable! Like their display on our Facebook page if you can't make it in!
