Rick Carpenter / All Pro I had the opportunity to make a quick road trip to visit my son , 1,100 miles One way. I chose to take my 1999 Honda Accord as gas prices are up now. I have focused on repairs and maintenance on my 4 Runner lately, took a peek on the Accord and off I go!!!! No issues at all, 20 miles from my destination is when I had a car issue. The engine ran rough missing on acceleration, I limped into town. What I found was this. My focus was on my truck, I negle...cted a little basic maintenance on my Accord. It was and has been running flawlessly, however I had not replaced the spark plugs in quite sometime. Basic maintenance had almost caused me a missed visit with my son Jon. We can address things when they breakdown or do scheduled maintenance hopefully, to avoid these issues while traveling. Time for me to practice what I preach!! , and give a little attention to the Accord now, so I can get back home!!
