It's that time of year again. Where I fill my fridge and freezer with goats milk. This year I will only be milking for a limited amount of time. If you want fresh Chevre or milk I need to know ASAP! I will store milk to make soap throughout the year to fill orders as usual. Thanks for supporting our little farm.

You guys, I can only describe what I have been experiencing health wise the last 2 days is DEATH disguised as an Upper Respiratory Infection and the Flu. There is no rest on the farm especially during kidding season. Thankfully my husband has been caring for the chores for me while I am down. Today I delivered 2 does. One had a single kid that had some impressive Dystocia that required a lot of repositioning and the other had a set of twins where the doeling kid was born prem...ature. I worked on her for 10 minutes with suction, vigorous rubbing, chest compressions and small breaths until I called it quits. My daughter loves helping birth the kids and carried her around with such compassion and sadness until we laid her to rest. Moral of the story..... some days are hell and a struggle, but with amazing support, we survive. I will update everyone with photos of the babies once I am starting to feel better.

It never fails.... Been watching the trip closely for any signs of labor or kidding. Lily did it again. Waits until I leave to go from 0 to babies on the ground in a short time span. Introducing the first babies of this kidding season, 3 healthy bucklings.

I just took this Hot Chocolate Goat Milk soap out of the molds and cut it. I can't wait to give these to our teachers and bus drivers for Christmas. It smells like chocolate and could be mistaken for fudge . Now we wait 5 weeks to cure. This is my own recipe that also includes some walnut shell powder.
