Three Arrested at Walmart On 10/21/2020 at 1:36PM Officers responded to Walmart in reference to a group of shoplifters fleeing from loss prevention employees. Fortunately the subjects failed to take into account that the police department is located within 800 feet of the parking lot of Walmart. At least six police vehicles responded to Walmart. Even the evidence custodian, who rarely leaves his desk, responded to the scene. Not surprisingly, three subjects were quickly apprehended. The subjects were lodged at the Butler County Justice Center awaiting formal charges. Chief Danny Whiteley, who appeared completely baffled by the incident, asked the question, Why would anyone be that stupid? Subjects Arrested: Paige Duncan, Andrew Brittingham, and Brandon Brittingham

Please avoid the area of Main @ Foley today. Traffic is expected to be heavy as a result of the drive-thru COVID testing being conducted at the Butler County Health Department.
Officers with the Patrol Division never know what the next call might bring and this one was no different! This guy was found standing in the middle of the road in distress. Thanks to the Poplar Bluff Animal Control Division and the folks at Hillcrest Animal Hospital he's receiving a little medical attention and will be taken to Watkins Wildlife Rehab, a bird sanctuary for rehabilitation.
