Zymo Sculpture Studio

Another quick job... we built a super light-weight wrecking ball for the premier of the kids' book, Diary of Wimpy Kid #14. The event featured autographed copies of the book, trivia, build your own cartoons and a dance competition.

We were privileged to be asked by the St. Louis Sports Commission to create a replica of the Musial Award for the ceremony here in St. Louis last weekend. It was placed outside the Stiffel Theater to greet arriving guests. Fun Job!

We recently engineered and created a display for the IPPE Convention in Atlanta. (International Production and Processing Expo---120 countries). We traveled there to uncrate and assemble. It was a Rube Goldberg take-off of the life of a chicken, from hen-to-egg-to-chick-to-pullet-to-fryer, traveling along on conveyor belts--and punching out a Salmonella bacteria along the way. Fun project. Full of conveyors and wigglers and lights. The IPPE was immense--three convention halls. Lots of interesting displays for breeding, processing, containing, egg handlers----who knew? All poultry related in the building where we assembled. Our display travels to Minneapolis for its next showing.

The Zymo crew recently built a sculpture for Farid Raslulov, an artist from Azerbaijan. Bird #1 was designed to resemble patterns found in traditional Azeri carpets. It was moved from our studio (with the help of two very long trucks and two very skillful drivers!) and installed in a permanent location at Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis County.
