CAM Class starts January 2021! Register Now! The 2021 winter course will begin on January 20, concluding on or around February 10th. This course is recommended for community managers and experienced assistant managers only. Having knowledge of your property’s operations/financial/budget is very important as well.... Course Requirements: To obtain the CAM credential, candidates must complete the following: Minimum of 12 months of onsite property management experience Meet all examination standards within six (6) months of declaring candidacy Course curriculum totals approximately 40 hours (first 6 days), and the 7th day of class is a mandatory review and a 4-hour exam. The St. Louis Apartment Association announced their support of Hatching Hope back in April 2019. Hatching Hope coordinates care packages for apartment community residents that have been displaced from their apartment homes due to fire or other disasters. On Thursday, December 10, Jon Woodrome, community awareness committee member learned that 5 families were affected by a fire at a Maryland Heights community. Jon contacted other committee members to coordinate the pick-u...p and delivery of care packages for the families. Kristin Whiteside, owner of Ample Storage graciously donates storage space for our care packages. This morning, Kristin personally delivered 6 packages to the apartment community for distribution. This year’s Warm Their Soles sock drive hosted by NextGen, Chapter of the St. Louis Apartment Association had a great turnout! The NextGen effort collected more than 1,500 pairs of socks. Volunteer Spotlight Laura Bruyere, Apt Leasing Solutions Thank you Laura for all that you do for our Association!... Laura is the founder & Executive Problem Solver of Apartment Leasing Solutions. Laura has a long history in St. Louis property management, starting her career as a leasing consultant with Draper & Kramer, Inc in the mid 1980’s. She has over 25 years of successful property management experience, excelling at leasing and marketing. Following her passion for leasing and training, Laura started Apartment Leasing Solutions in 2007. Laura has been an active member in the SLAA since 2007 and understands the value of involvement within an organization. Laura has been an instructor for the National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) credential course for nearly 10 years. She also serves as the 1st VP on the Product & Service Council, and has served on many committees over the years. SLAA appreciates all the Laura brings to SLAA’s success. Other accomplishments include, three-time Rising Star nominee, 2012 Salesperson of the Year, and 2016 local Vendor of the Year.
